The London Shipping Law Centre delivers continuing professional education in maritime law and related subjects. The Centre brings together experts from many areas which influence the practical and academic aspects of maritime law and so affect its development. The Centre promotes reform in the law and enables the concerns of industry to be heard openly at a neutral forum.

The maritime industry has an international character. Given the strict regulatory environment in which it operates, the industry always faces important issues in which both regulators and industry require education. The Centre has excellent relationships with the IMO, the EU, academic institutions and the London and international shipping communities. It will continue to play a pivotal role in education, research and in promoting dialogue between the industry and regulators.
