Biography
San Giorgio del Porto (www.sgdp.it) is one of the leading players in the shipyard industry in the Mediterranean area, having operated in the ship repair industry since 1928.
Company main activities are:
o Ship repair, conversion, new building
o Ship recycling and Waste management
o Logistic operations on sea and land with special equipment (submersible barge, tugs, spmt’s, mobile cranes, strand jacks,…)
o Onshore and offshore industrial plants modular construction
San Giorgio del Porto is the first shipyard entered in the Italian Register of Naval Demolishers (Costa Concordia Wreck Demolition in Genoa), and it is certified ISO 30000:2009 for ship recycling Management System.
The Company, with HQ’s in Genoa (Italy) , is part of the holding “Genova Industrie Navali” which manages four+ shipyards in Mediterranean area, and includes more than 20 companies dedicated to naval, industrial plants, logistics and special operation sectors.
